Three woodpeckers high in the oaks, squabbling and chasing noisily from tree to tree.
Chattery clicking, distant thrumming.
Nuthatch calling, spiralling round trunks.
Background of goldcrests, great tits, and chiffchaffs.
Blue tits hanging from delicate twigs.
Ravens.
Distant pheasant, buzzard, crows, pigeons.
Asian lady beetle.
Carpet of wild garlic sending scent into the air as the dog snuffles for a suitable stick.
